What the industry says about Barbie & Robin

  • Danielle Fishel - Actor/Producer/Director

From the moment I met Barbie Block, when I was a wide-eyed teenager starring as Topanga on Boy Meets World, I knew I was in safe hands. Not only does Barbie have a keen eye and ear for finding talent but she is also warm and comforting while always maintaining honesty and integrity. I have been fortunate enough to work with Barbie on several shows over the years and she has never wavered in her desire to be of utmost service to the children and families she works with in a sometimes unforgiving business. I'm thrilled that Barbie is bringing her unique experience and expertise to the New Actors Roadmap and I assure you that you are in the very best hands.

  • Mario Lopez - Saved by the Bell, TV Host

When I came in for Saved By The Bell, Robin was supportive and made me feel comfortable. She instantly believed in me for the role of A.C. Slater and called her producer on the spot. That opportunity changed my life. Robin was always kind and caring to all of the actors (and their parents) who came on to the series over the years. She will be a big help to anyone just starting out or those who are looking to get to the next level.

  • Susan Duff (Hilary Duff's mother)

Robin Lippin has always exemplified character in the way she has approached her responsibilities in casting. She was compassionate towards the actors and their parents, always willing to give feedback and encouragement to young talent. I found Robin to be very inclusive during the casting sessions with Lizzie McGuire and helped me to understand the process. Robin knew once she met Hilary, "she was Lizzie McGuire," and championed her all the way to getting the role, which changed her life! I am quite sure Robin’s years of experience, love for young people and all actors will be a gift to all those getting her guidance.

  • Mark Blutman, Emmy Award Winning Writer/Producer, Boy Meets World/Girl Meets World

“First impressions are everything and I’ve witnessed firsthand how Barbie Block extends nothing but kindness and empathy to young talent. The harsh reality is only one person can be cast in a role but Barbie always makes sure every actor feels like they matter. While a casting office can be incredibly intimidating Barbie fills it with warmth. She totally gets it and after 30 years, Barbie still LOVES what she does.”

  • Maha Sweiss, Head of Youth Division Mills Kaplan Entertainment

I met Barbie Block over 11 years ago through the casting process for my son August Maturo’s series role on Disney Channel’s ‘Girl Meets World” My son was only five years old at the time and the world of acting was very new to us. From the time of August’s first audition to his final chemistry read, Barbie guided us with so much sage advice and wisdom that I believe she was pivotal in making sure August did his best work and landed the role. My son’s career led me to a new profession in talent management so it’s no exaggeration to say Barbie Block quite literally changed our lives. She is an absolute expert at what she does and a master in her field. I can’t recommend her enough.
